A wedding story
Aditya & Priyanka | Sampradaya Parinayam
From the mehendi to the reception, in order: henna and cousins, sunrise bridal portraits, the entries, jeelakarra bellam, thali and talambralu. Aditya and Priyanka’s Telugu wedding in Hyderabad, told in pictures by our TBLK team.

Mehendi
Henna, cousins and a lot of laughter
The story starts at home: family filling the room, cousins dancing, kisses on both cheeks and a few quiet portraits of the bride-to-be.

Wedding morning: sunrise bridal portraits
Priyanka in the first light
Pink silk, temple jewellery and soft, low sunlight under the trees, before the rituals began.

Wedding: Entries
The mandap fills up
The hall glowed in marigold and red. Aditya took his place at the mandap, and Priyanka was carried in by her uncles in the bamboo basket to cheers from the whole family.

Wedding: Jeelakarra bellam
The first touch
At the muhurtham, with family crowding close, they placed jeelakarra bellam on each other’s heads, and Priyanka could not stop laughing.

Wedding: Mangalsutra
Tying the thali
In her white and red silks, Priyanka sat beaming as Aditya tied the mangalsutra to a shower of blessings.

Wedding: Talambralu
Rice, petals and laughter
Cousins lined up to watch the talambralu, and rice and flowers flew on both sides.

Wedding: Newlyweds
Garlands and family
Garlands, bashikam and family portraits: husband and wife at last.

Reception
Blush, ivory and white blooms
The celebrations closed with an ivory sherwani, a blush lehenga, a wall of white flowers and one more round of cousins, family and laughter.
