A wedding story
Manoj & Priya: A Telugu Wedding Story in Amalapuram
Six celebrations, one love story. Here is Manoj and Priya’s wedding, told one ceremony at a time, from a quiet pre-wedding walk to a midnight-blue pre-reception.

Manoj and Priya live in the US and found us through Instagram while planning their Telugu wedding back home in Amalapuram, and we were very happy to be part of their wedding. It came in six chapters, and we were there for every one, starting with an easy pre-wedding walk around the old lanes near Charminar in Hyderabad. Then came Priya’s Pellikuthuru in silk and flowers, Manoj’s Pellikoduku in festive green, and a haldi full of yellow, pink and teasing.
On the wedding day in Amalapuram, the small things told the story: mehendi hands, a quiet prayer, garlands and talambralu, and finally the two of them side by side as husband and wife. The celebrations closed with a midnight-blue pre-reception under warm lights.
We are a wedding photography and cinematography team based in Hyderabad, led by Lavanya Korandla. We travel across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bangalore for weddings like this, and we love working with couples who plan from abroad. Here is their story, one ceremony at a time.
Pre-wedding shoot in Hyderabad’s old city
A walk through the old city
Before the rituals and the crowds, there was just the two of them. Manoj and Priya spent an easy day together under shady trees and in the lanes around Charminar, trading glances and quiet jokes.
We simply followed along and let the moments find us: a forehead touch here, a shared laugh there, and the kind of comfortable closeness you can’t pose.

Pellikuthuru ceremony
The bride’s ceremony
Priya’s Pellikuthuru was a soft, glowing start to the celebrations. Wrapped in silk and flowers, she took in every blessing with the brightest smile.
Later Manoj slipped in beside her, and the two of them could not stop laughing. It was a gentle reminder of how this whole journey began.

Pellikoduku ceremony
The groom’s ceremony
Manoj’s Pellikoduku was all warmth and quiet pride, with blessings and laughter all around him.
In his festive green he looked every bit the groom-to-be, and with Priya at his side the nerves quickly turned into grins.

Haldi
Turmeric, flowers and laughter
Haldi was pure colour: sunshine yellow and soft pink, flower jewellery and plenty of playful teasing.
Between the turmeric and the giggles, Manoj and Priya kept finding each other’s eyes. These are some of our favourite candid frames of the whole wedding.

Wedding day
The day it all came together
On the wedding day the details told the story: mehendi-painted hands, a quiet moment of prayer, and Priya’s calm, shining glances.
Then came the rituals and the blessings, garlands and laughter, until they finally stood side by side as husband and wife.

Pre-reception
Midnight blue and a grand entrance
For the pre-reception evening they chose matching shades of midnight blue and made an entrance to remember.
Under warm lights they relaxed into the celebration: a few portraits, many hugs, and the easy joy of a couple who had just begun forever.
